The MO Hunting app is a comprehensive tool designed specifically for Missouri's hunting, fishing, and trapping enthusiasts. It facilitates the purchase, storage, and viewing of annual permits, also allowing users to access permits from the prior year. One of its standout features is the ability for hunters to directly notch their permit and Telecheck their harvest using the app, streamlining the process significantly after securing a deer or turkey.
To use this application, users must log in using their Conservation Number, a unique 9-digit identifier found on the back of the Heritage Card or on any current or previous permit. This number is crucial for accessing the various features of the platform.
The app not only eases the management of permits but also enhances compliance with Missouri’s Wildlife Code. Since July 1, 2015, it is mandatory for hunters, anglers, and trappers to carry a hard copy or an electronically signed digital copy of their permit while engaging in these activities. The application addresses this requirement by enabling electronic permit storage and display, which can be presented upon request to enforcement officers or when shipping wildlife.
Additionally, it simplifies the process of recording harvests. After capturing a deer or turkey, users can immediately notch the harvest date within the platform and are required to telecheck the harvest by 10:00 pm on the same day. This functionality ensures timely and efficient reporting, which is key for maintaining sustainable wildlife management.
MO Hunting is an invaluable tool for Missouri’s outdoor sports community, offering a blend of convenience and compliance with state wildlife regulations, all at the fingertips of the user.
